After doing ACT prep with Emory, taking the test, and seeing my results, I saw that I had improved 5 points in the English section (26 to 31), 4 points in the reading section (26 to 30), and even one point in the science section after only quickly glazing over some tips in the very last session we had. My overall ACT score improved by two points, which earned me a scholarship that will cover 75% of my college tuition! She always did a great job of planning out each session, and providing me with worksheets that I could complete on my own time (this was something I found particularly helpful). After having really enjoyed my time with Emory, I reached out to her to help me with my college essay. The feedback she provided me was fantastic, but she also made sure that the edits she suggested fit the vision I had for my essay. Emory has and is still helping me make essays that I feel confident to submit to colleges. I could not recommend her enough!
Emory is an exceptional tutor, equally skilled in helping students with standardized test preparation (ACT/SAT) and essay writing. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and engaging in her approach. My children, David and Sasha, have truly enjoyed their lessons with Emory and have become much better students as a result!
